A Grappa of unique character distilled in a small alambic on an open flame in the old distillery destroyed in the floods that hit the Aosta Valley in the year 2000. The casks were saved but the age certification was lost and it remained untouched for many years. Using modern carbon-14 dating it has been traced to 1983. Today it reveals all the characteristics of a classic distillate with intense and long flavours, hints of smoke, tobacco and spices reminiscent of the traditional art of mountain distillation.
